I love some organ music, but I tend to cringe at most of it (church organ!). What album would change my mind?

I play an Allen organ at our church. It's about 25 years old and has 2 manuals. I'm just curious, but whenever I watch old films films from the 1910's 20's they use the church organ. Why was that?

More " spine tingling" than " head banging" . Nothing really soft or too sing songy plz, and nothing that involves screaming or lack of melody either.IF there's any metal bands that sing in Latin, that would be awesome as well.Or just power metal where all the songs have church organ or really fast, melodic guitar riffs.Examples of my fav. bands include Gamma Ray, Iron Savior, Iron Angel, Iron Maiden, Power Quest is the softest I listen to and Amon Amarth is the hardest, I don't listen to " soft stuff" that just doesn't have that adrenaline and bad assness, but I don't listen to " hard stuff" with no melody either.Deep lyrics about occult stuff is a plus, like Gamma Ray in " The Valley of the Kings" . But overall I want a really " deep" melodyA7X IS a good example of that
How old is my church organ?
My church has an old Hammond organ, and has vacuum tubes. Dad is trying to repair it and we want to know how old it is. The Model Number is 111 and the Serial Number is 28270. Does anybody know how we can figure out how old it is or anything? Your help is much appreciated
